Due to rapid growth we are looking for a proactive and motivated individual to be an Systems Engineer at AutoGuide Mobile Robots. With a new and expanding portfolio of mobile robots, this role is very tactical at this time to help launch our new platforms, but has tremendous career upside.

OVERVIEW

RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assumes the role of technical lead for major projects, responsible for the system level design to ensure that it will meet our customer and business needs.
  • Performs use case analyses to support the definition and refinement of system requirements.
  • Develops system and subsystem-level functional, technical and performance requirements.
  • Analyzes and documents hardware and software interfaces for the system
  • Define system and sub-system architectures, conduct systems analyses, trade-off analyses.
  • Creates and maintains Requirements Traceability Matrices
  • Develops validation & verification plans based on requirements and architecture documents.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and qualify products at all levels (systems, subsystems, etc.). Be a go to person for identifying and resolving complex technical issues.
  • Develops and uses modeling, and analysis tools in support of system design, performance prediction, diagnostics, and post-performance analysis
  • Performs risk analyses and defines mitigation strategies
  • Supports the conduct of integration & test activities, including:  integration of software and hardware at the system level, tests and evaluation of test results, and performance evaluation of system-level requirements verification
  • A willingness to travel up to 10% is desired

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Qualified applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States. Qualified Applicants will not require employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future for employment in United States.

In addition, to be a good fit for this opportunity you will have:

  • A BS or MS (preferred) ME, EE, Robotics or a related field, supplemented by 7+ years of progressively responsible engineering work experience
  • Ability to overcome obstacles to get the job done. Can do attitude!
  • Multi-disciplinary experience in products with software, robotics/ automation mechanisms, and electronics.
  • Completed a minimum of 1 product life cycle (from concept to production) as a key technical contributor.
  • Must have an understanding of statistics and reliability analysis
  • FMEA, Risk Assessment, root cause analysis
  • Ability to work well under pressure, handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work on a cross-functional team
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to travel to our Georgetown KY manufacturing plant and customer sites (~10%).
  • Must be Authorized to work in the U.S
